Tata Navia was born in Cali, Colombia. She emphasizes the interaction between foregrounds and backgrounds, creating an active spatial relationship, which is a continuous concern in her work. The artist is currently researching several artistic mediums such as oil, egg tempera, acrylic, and mixed media, allowing her to continuously develop new chemistry for her work, and pushing the limits of her concepts. Her work has been presented in Bogotá, Colombia; Quito, Ecuador; Guatemala City, Guatemala; Caracas, Venezuela, and Florida, USA. You can find more about Tata Navia at: www.tatanavia.com
