- November 8, 2007. Nueva Vida's Annual Art Exhibit and Cocktail Reception. The event was chaired by Mrs. Georgina Núñez de Insulza y Mrs. Katia de Alencar Chohfi. This year's exhibit featured art by Evangelina Elizondo from Argentina and Patricia Secco from Brasil. - October, 16, 2007 in Los Angeles, CA. Our Peer Counselor, Laura Clymer, awarded as one of 2007 Lifetime Heroes as part of their campaign "Stop Breast Cancer for Life". For more information click here .

- October 23, 2007. Nueva Vida Morning Discussion and Networking Meeting. Nueva Vida Hosted a discussion on “Quality Care” Led by Carolina Hinestrosa, Executive Vice-President at the National Breast Cancer Coalition.

-- September, 2005. Once more, one of Nueva Vida’s Peer Counselors has been nominated Women Hero of the Year!
Emilia Mercedes Zapata was awarded during Lifetime’s 4th annual event for Lifetime TV Hero Project that took place on Monday, September 27 at the Four Seasons Hotel Ballroom in Los Angeles, CA. The event sponsored by Lifetime TV honored breast cancer survivors and advocates from around the country. Congratulations Emilia!
