Nueva Vida provides outreach and education to the local Latino communities that it serves. Families who come in contact with Nueva Vida through these efforts need not reach out to Nueva Vida. For Patient Navigation and Survivorship, Nueva Vida begins services at the time of diagnosis. We have referral partners that provide us respective information to get clients enrolled into Nueva Vida.
Nueva Vida is in the beginning processes to start serving children and teens. We do currently offer individual counseling for a teenager if her parent is affected by cancer. In 2015, Nueva Vida will begin to offer Patient Navigation and Survivorship specifically focused on children and teens. Baltimore currently offers a support group for children affected by mothers with cancer.
All of NV services are offered to the local community for no charge. NV does offer through its Center for Training Services a variety of training programs that are offered through community and philanthropic support.
Nueva Vida suggests that you closely review the volunteer support page to identify the variety of volunteer opportunities we have available.
