If you have a skill or a desire to help Nueva Vida fulfill its mission to inform, support, and empower Latinas whose lives are affected by Cancer, then you’ve found the right place.
Nueva Vida is constantly looking for energetic and committed individuals or groups to lend a hand in our Office, workshops or Special events. Volunteer roles may vary from short term (2-3 months) or long term (3-6 months).

Special Events – Do you love event planning? And meeting new people? Then this is perfect opportunity for you! Nueva Vida is looking for committed volunteers to help plan and execute special events. Most events are one-time volunteer opportunity, during the weekends or after office hours.
Administrative Support – Do you have a couple of hours to spare during the week? Nueva Vida is looking for individuals to help with administrative tasks such as: making client phone calls, filing, prepare materials, and other special projects. Volunteer days are a couple of hours during the week.
Outreach – Want to improve in your Spanish? Do you want to practice your public – speaking skills?
Nueva Vida is looking for volunteers to help our Outreach Specialist educate the community about the preventive services that Nueva Vida offers. Outreach events includes, but are not limited to community based workshops, festivals and concerts, and health fairs.
Health, Nutrition and Exercise Workshops – Individuals with demonstrated knowledge in health, nutrition, exercise or creative arts can serve as workshop facilitators. Past facilitators have taught dance classes, led yoga, held painting classes, and presented on cancer health topics.
Peer Counselor – Cancer survivors who are 2+ years out of treatment can join Nueva Vida’s network and serve as a peer counselor to a recently diagnosed woman. All peer counselors participate in quarterly supervision meetings with the Survivorship Program Manager.
